Reading and listening
The page or PDF does not display
Open Original edition from the reader. If its viewer fails, use its direct original-file fallback. On editions with an approved download, you can also save that edition and open it in your device’s PDF reader.
Listen does not start
Choose an available voice, then press Listen. Voice availability depends on your device. If a matching voice is unavailable, the original text remains available. Whole-book listening and the sleep timer live in the reader; reviewed recordings have their own player in the listening room.
Move favourites or reading places to another device
Open My reading desk and choose Save reading desk. On the other device or portable copy, choose Restore reading desk, preview it and merge. Keep this personal file private. It contains reading choices, not the books or account ownership.
Reading, downloads and languages
Each book keeps its own reading and download decision. The original text remains available with current reading access. Automatic translation is a reading aid; reviewed translations and recordings require their own matching edition. A reviewed Mi’kmaq edition is still pending.
Check this device
This checks the features this browser exposes. It does not prove that a drive works unplugged, that a recording was played, or that another computer was tested.
The report is created locally. It contains feature availability and voice-language counts, with no account identifiers, book contents or saved reading choices. Nothing is uploaded by these buttons.
Your portable copy
In a dated backup folder, OPEN_SKYFALL_STUDIO.cmd opens that copy of the library and START_SKYFALL.cmd opens Ark. Use STOP_LIBRARY.cmd and wait for its safe-stop message before moving or unplugging a drive. RECOVER_LIBRARY.cmd inspects a supported interrupted operation and preserves recovery evidence.
A library backup protects books and server state. A reading-desk export protects this browser’s personal choices. Keep both.
